What We Offer

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a goal-oriented, evidence-based approach that links our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It helps identify unhelpful thinking patterns and build practical coping skills to create lasting, positive change. Heavily researched and widely practiced, CBT has been shown to be particularly effective for anxiety and depression.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy helps you develop present-moment awareness and a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to your thoughts and emotions. By cultivating mindfulness, you can reduce stress, enhance emotional balance, and respond to challenges with greater clarity and calm.

ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THERAPY

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the psychological roots of emotional suffering through self-reflection and self-examination. The relationship between therapist and client plays a key role, offering insight into recurring relational patterns and promoting deeper self-understanding and growth.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Trauma-informed therapy recognizes the impact of past trauma on current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It emphasizes safety, empowerment, and trust, helping individuals understand their responses and heal within a supportive therapeutic relationship.

COLLABORATIVE APPROACH

Healing works best when everyone is on the same page—especially when you’re juggling school, work, relationships, and mental health. When helpful, I collaborate with other providers like psychiatrists, primary care doctors, or previous therapists to make sure care feels coordinated rather than fragmented.

Any collaboration happens only with your consent, and with the goal of making support feel intentional, streamlined, and aligned with what actually matters to you.

individual therapy for millenials

Adulthood doesn’t always feel the way you were told it would. Many millennials are juggling demanding careers, complicated relationships, family expectations, and constant pressure to “keep up”—often while feeling anxious, burnt out, or unsure of themselves. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and feel supported as you navigate this stage of life.

  • Feel chronically overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted

  • Struggle with burnout, work stress, or lack of balance

  • Feel stuck, directionless, or behind compared to peers

  • Have difficulty setting boundaries or saying no without guilt

  • Notice patterns in relationships you want to better understand or change

  • Are hard on yourself and feel driven by self-criticism or perfectionism

individual therapy for south asians

For many South Asians, emotional struggles are often minimized or pushed aside in favor of achievement, resilience, or family responsibility. Balancing cultural expectations with personal needs can feel isolating, confusing, and heavy. Therapy provides a culturally attuned space where you don’t have to explain yourself—and where your experiences are understood in context.

YOU MAY BENEFIT FROM THERAPY IF YOU:
  • Feel torn between cultural values and your own wants or identity

  • Carry guilt around boundaries, independence, or prioritizing yourself

  • Experience anxiety, low mood, or emotional numbness but feel unsure how to talk about it

  • Struggle with family dynamics, intergenerational conflict, or people-pleasing

  • Feel pressure to succeed while quietly feeling overwhelmed or unfulfilled

  • Want a space to process identity, relationships, and expectations without judgment
